Weekly Report / by Riley James

Want to maintain the hour a day now.
It really depends on what I'm trying to write. I've separated two of the dissonant ideas I was trying to make work in a feature script, and had a revealation in terms of structuring when I saw the new American Crime Story: People V OJ Simpson and Eye in the Sky in quick succession.

Two productions with a similar window into the systems of power and bureaucracy, and how people can try and twist them for their own angle to achieve their goals.

There's a terror in that when we're looking at people in charge of ours and others lives, and the people who slip through the cracks.

Also simplicity is key with visual storytelling, I genuinely respond to minimalism, and I'm guilty of trying to put too much in, making stuff too wordy. Both ideas seem to work better independantly.
